Suffice to say, this was Anna’s favorite day. Which, given that the last week had been a string of phenomenal days, should prepare you. After the early wake up call and pre-morning drive snacks, we ventured off.

Not 5 minutes into the bush we came across the dominant male leopard in the area marking its territory. Strong and elegant, it was unfazed by our camera clicks and astonished whispers. It looked to have a full belly, suggesting a successful evening hunt.

And since our leopard was so full, we decided to match him with another bush breakfast. Post breakfast, we ditched our truck and went for a bush walk back to the lodge. When we got back, we were in major need of a cool off, so had a swim and lunched. Naturally, lunch was followed shortly by pre-evening drive snacks.

Best thing about our evening drive…WE FOUND CUBS! Anna did all she could to not jump right out of the truck and adopt them on the spot. The words cute and adorable just don’t do them justice.

We celebrated our luck with sunset cocktails. And as luck would have it, Jameson & Ginger Ale was on the menu. Purrty cool.

Beyond cloud nine, we were surprised yet again. Another male leopard was spotted, in a tree, with a fresh kill. Talk about story book endings. Even our day was book ended by leopards!
We suffered through another delicious tasting menu. An unbeatable, unforgettable day.
